1995. in a pub in north west scotland, the first inkling of tallmania began... lepki met american exchange geophysicist paul hagin and was compelled to form a band with the guy who had sideburns just like the cartoon guy on stereolab covers... both men were over 6 foot 2, but both played bass...cut to a fortnight later... answering an advert on the leeds university notice board, lepki met daniel thomas, tall, bristolian and studying all about greeks... the advert had specified something to the effect of psychedelic trip hop musician waiting to use loads of wah-wah...
