Tilt shifting is a popular Photoshop trick which can currently be seen in a quite a bit of advertising all over the world. By blurring sections of the photo, you can change the perspective and make everything look miniature and quite cool. You can upload your own picture and have everything applied for you on tiltshiftmaker.com or you can be a bit more bespoke, and follow the tutorial in tiltshiftphotography.net. Adweek seems to think the technique was over a year a ago, so as I come to the party with my 4 pack of Skol, it seems everybody disappeared from the scene quite some time ago. Nevertheless, I thought I'd try out the trick on a handful of my old photos. |
